Footpath Erosion

We were asked to carry out work on a path which ran parallel to a raised bank on one side and a stream on the other. The stream had eroded the ground so that the path was now narrow and close to the edge of the watercourse.

After obtaining land drainage consent we carried out the following work:

– Cleared vegetation from the route – including hung up trees.

– Constructed a retaining wall in the watercourse made from green oak.

– Dug away the bank, backfilled behind the retaining wall and created a wider and flatter path surface.
